This project investigates pareidolia and apophenia in the context of artificial intelligence. Framing machine vision itself as a calculated system of seeing meaning in noise.

Using image-to-image generation, found imagery (displayed at 60fps), object recognition and synthetic vocal sounds, the film explores the boundaries of human perception, blurring it with that of the machine.

Inspired by potato chips resembling popular figures that are being sold online, custom made potato chips engraved with neural network diagrams were served during the screening.
